Celebrate the dead in Fiesta de los Muertos!

Today is November 2nd, the Day of the Dead.

On this very special day, departed souls are joyfully celebrated so as not to be forgotten.

On this sacred day, the dead are back and are afraid of only one thing: that the living will no longer remember them.

A dead person is only truly dead if he is forgotten. He then wanders for eternity!

Cooperative play

Fiesta de los Muertos is a cooperative game in which you'll have to find each deceased character present during the game.

How a game unfolds

Fiesta de los Muertos takes place in several phases of play:

Phase 1: The pickaxe. Each player draws a card, looks at it secretly, and places it face down in front of them.

Phase 2: Riddles. Players guess their character.

Players write a word related to their character (a kind of clue), color a tooth, and pass the card to their neighbors.

The player who receives the card, reads the word, erases it, writes another, colors a tooth, and passes on to his neighbor.

After 4 passes, the cards are placed in the center of the table and the players move on to phase 3.

Phase 3: Deduction of the dead.

Players try to track down the characters. Character cards and cards with words are arranged on the table.

Players must then match the correct cards together.

Phase 4: Healing the dead. Players check the correct answers.

At the end of this phase, there are two possibilities for a dead person:

The dead man is appeased: All the players have managed to honor his memory by matching the right cards.

Or the dummy is not appeased: Not all players have managed to find the right cards.

The dead man is falling into oblivion.

The more dead you manage to appease, the more beautiful and joyful the party will be.

Difficulty levels for good gameplay

In Fiesta de los Muertos, there are several difficulty levels using the Constraints cards.

When the games get too simple, take it to the next level.

Level 1: Reveal 1 Constrained card at the start of the game.

The first word that each player will write will have to respect this constraint.

The following words are free.

Level 2: Reveal 2 Constrained cards at the start of the game.

The first word that each player will write will have to respect the first constraint.

The second word will have to respect the second constraint.

The following words are free.

Level 3: Reveal 3 Constrained cards at the start of the game.

The first word that each player will write will have to respect the first constraint.

The second word will have to respect the second constraint.

The third word will have to respect the third constraint.

The next word is free.
