In this visually reworked adventure, you'll travel through the spooky lands of the Valley of Shadows. According to Professor K. Tastroff, the mysterious Black Moon shining in the sky of the Valley has a calming effect on the ghosts who live there... but everything changed when the Black Moon was suddenly shattered by who knows who!

Now, the place is teeming with out-of-control ghosts determined to stir up trouble! Can Luigi find all the fragments of the Black Moon and bring peace to the Valley of Shadows?

Fortunately, Professor K. Tastroff is there to provide Luigi with the perfect tools to carry out his mission, such as the Spectroflash that allows him to dazzle ghosts, and the essential Ectoblast 5000 that can suck up ghosts... and all kinds of objects!

Luigi's paranormal escapades will lead him to all sorts of places, each more disturbing than the last: an abandoned botanical laboratory, a dilapidated clock factory, or a mysterious mine caught in the snow and ice, to name but a few...

Up to four people can team up in local or online wireless mode to complete the challenges of the Haunted Tower, where there are many traps and ghosts that don't appear in the main game.
