The passengers are waiting for you!
Create the best bus route to get passengers to their destinations... and leave your opponents in a traffic jam!
Get on Board is a delightful urban "flip & write" with a particularly neat and inspired look, designed by Saachi and illustrated by Monsieur Z.
An accessible and fun "go and tick"
Directly adapted from the Japanese game "Let's make a bus route", which was very noticed when it was released, Get on board is a refreshing and addictive flip & write game that can be played by 2 to 5 players for games of about 45 minutes.
Get on Board is a particularly accessible and open-ended game that allows players to create an urban layout, optimized according to the sections of road imposed on each player.
The bus line thus mapped out must be coherent: there are objectives to be accomplished, crossing points to be respected, and passengers to be transported!
As soon as your bus line crosses a symbol on the central board, you tick the corresponding box on your scoresheet.
It's as intuitive as it is accurate.
The goal of the game is to have the bus line that will allow you to score the most points, i.e. by transporting passengers where they want.
Very valuable passengers
Let's talk about the passengers!
Each player's scoresheet shows the passengers encountered, the stops served, and the points earned at the end of the game.
If our peaceful grandmothers accumulate points wherever we go, students will have to be dropped off at universities, employees in buildings and tourists in front of monuments and museums.
Each type of passenger offers its own calculation of points, which will obviously encourage players to take multiple detours.
It's up to you to create your own point salad and collect the most profitable passengers on the route you're trying to create!
Total Interaction
In Get on Board, players don't play in their own corner!
Each player draws his or her line on a central board, common to all players.
The city is divided, and the layout of some will not fail to disturb that of others.
When a player is forced to take the same route as another player, they suffer the effects of a traffic jam and suffer from penalty points to be carried over to the end of the game.
Refreshing and unifying
With its simple rules, Get on Board is a game that is as exciting as it is clever, which allows you to think together (but every man for himself) in order to develop your urban network while scoring points each in their own way, and if possible by annoying your opponents.
While it's easy to earn points by completing objectives, transporting passengers, or creating an optimal route, it will also be easy to lose points by getting lost in traffic.
The game is aimed at both Roll and Write regulars looking for direct interaction and new players, looking for an ingenious family game with immediate pleasure.
With its two cities, Get On Board is as enjoyable as it is refreshing, for varied, deliciously tactical and fiercely contested games.
