Alien, the role-playing game, is a horror universe where the body is damaged, where big companies play with fire, where synthetic beings think they are demiurges while space truckers and Marines serve as hosts for frightening creatures. It's a rough, unforgiving universe, where you're completely replaceable.

This richly illustrated book presents the world of ALIEN in 2183, as well as brief and effective rules designed to give you an intense experience in this universe. The game includes two game modes:

Cinema Mode is based on scripts written to reproduce the dramatic unfolding of a film. Designed for a single game session, this fast-paced and brutal mode emphasizes urgency and vital stakes. Not all of you are supposed to survive. The core book contains an introductory scenario in Cinema Mode, "Hope's Last Day".

Campaign Mode is designed to continuously play with the same team of player characters over multiple play sessions, allowing you to freely explore the Alien universe in a sandbox environment. This rulebook contains random tables and other tools that will allow you to create star systems, settlements, missions, and more.

The rules are based on the hugely popular Year Zero Engine, which powers games like Tales from the Loop.
