Atreus seeks to piece together the clues left by his mother and understand her prophetic role in the coming war. While Kratos tries to contain his son's desire to find out more about his identity, knowing full well that he would lead them down the path of the vengeful Aesir. This would inevitably lead them to repeat the bloody mistakes of the past.

Together, father and son venture further into the Nine Realms, while the forces of Asgard prepare for war. On their journey, they will discover fascinating mythical landscapes and fight terrifying enemies, monsters and Norse gods.
