Each Company, in a Chapter of the Adeptus Astartes, is under the command of a Captain. It is customary to say that a Space Marine is worth at least ten other soldiers; under the direction of a Captain, this proportion is even greater, for he coordinates the action of his warriors with deadly precision and motivates them to fight with a dedication and bite that training or discipline would not instill in them.

A Primaris Captain in Phobos armor is a HQ choice for any Faction of the Adeptus Astartes – including the Blood Angels, Dark Angels, and even the Space Wolves (in whom he stands in as Wolf Lord). He is a highly skilled warrior in all facets of combat, wielding a master Instigator bolter rifle – a deadly precision weapon designed to take out enemy leaders. In addition to wearing a camouflage cloak to accentuate the effects of the cover, the Primaris Captain in Phobos armor can use a sophisticated omni-jammer to hinder the enemy's reinforcements.
