The Illuminor Szeras strives to unravel the mysteries of life, as he fears that he will be a second-rate god if he does not hold such secrets. The Illuminator has been close to understanding them for centuries, though the key to it all still eludes him. Although he is obsessed with the secrets of life, Szeras' abilities to upgrade the weaponry and even the mechanical bodies of his loyal Necrons are unmatched. Sometimes the demand is so high that Szeras can charge a very high price for his services, invariably a raid on a world whose population interests him.
