Warhammer 40,000 - Death Guard: Mortarion

Publisher: Games Workshop

For ten thousand years, Mortarion, Lord of the Death Guard, has crushed his enemies on the battlefield.

Surrounded by tiny rustling demons, buzzing flies, and pestilential vapors, Mortarion plunges into battle carried by his large wings.

Their sonorous beat fills the enemy with dread while spreading the stench of death among its lines.

The mere presence of the Lord of Death is fatal, as his opponents choke, collapse, and succumb to the myriad evils that saturate the air around him.

This plastic kit contains the components needed to assemble Mortarion, Daemon Primarch of Nurgle.

It's a huge figure – which can hardly be described as "miniature" because it largely dominates the Death Guard and even surpasses the Bloodthirsters.

Barbarus' Plate, his baroque energy armor, is stained with rust and mold, and all of its large pieces are covered in skulls, spikes, and symbols of Nurgle.

Mortarion also wears a dirty hooded robe, chains, a breathing apparatus that presumably does not supply him with fresh air, and all sorts of foul disease stigmata.

He wields two vile weapons, the first being a huge scythe called Silence, with a rusty blade sharp as a razor and chainsaw-toothed edge, which has shed the blood of entire worlds and can tear a titan Reaver to pieces.

The other is the Lantern, an ancient energy gun.

These weapons can be mounted in two ways – one option shows them at rest, alongside Mortarion, and the other in an aggressive posture.

Mortarion is equipped with large, decayed wings – holed, warped, and lacerated, representing the horror and decay of Nurgle's hordes.

And the kit offers plenty of bonuses to match them – two flying Nurglings minions carrying phosphex bombs are chained to Mortarion's armor, and three more are on the base: one wielding an icon of Chaos, another waving a censer, and the last carrying a container full of unspeakable substances.

The pedestal is itself adorned with rocks corrupted by the blasphemous presence of the Demon Primarch.

Mortarion, Daemon Primarch of Nurgle comes in 78 components, plus a 100mm Citadel round base.
