Green Stuff World's Glasspack Footprints are 1mm transparent bases for scenery and terrain elements, designed to clearly mark the footprint of buildings, ruins, walls, barricades, generators, and other important terrain areas in parts compatible with Warhammer 40,000® 11th edition. Now that the new 2026 edition is moving a little away from the classic round objective markers and putting a much more emphasis on terrain footprints, it becomes more important than ever to properly delineate battlefield areas to control objectives, clarify missions, and avoid line-of-sight discussions.

They are made of a completely transparent, flexible and impact-resistant plastic, which allows you to precisely define the playable area of each piece of scenery without obscuring the design of your play mat. Unlike alternatives made of MDF, neoprene, or any other opaque material, they preserve the aesthetics of the table while avoiding raised edges that can hinder the placement or movement of the figures. Thanks to their low profile, they are particularly suitable for competitive play, games with friends, clubs and tournaments, where consistency, speed of set-up and ease of transport are particularly appreciated.

Each 40k Glasspack has white printed edges, so you can see immediately during the game where each area of court starts and ends. This helps tremendously to reduce ambiguity when it comes to checking if a unit is in a ruin, has cover, is disputing an area, or is interacting with certain mission-related elements. In the 11th edition, this is even more relevant, as the terrain and mission structure are now more linked, each army can have different primary objectives, and the recommended table layouts are designed around precise dimensions for the playing areas and surfaces.

These transparent footprints work particularly well on dark or grey play mats, especially in urban or volcanic settings, where the white outline remains clearly visible without breaking the visual appearance of the table. They are less recommended for very light snow-themed tables.
