Deep Strike 8" Ruler - 11th Edition

An 8-inch Deep Strike ruler for Quick Deploy is a straight, curved-edged ruler, made of methacrylate, that measures exactly eight inches, which is the safe distance that figures must maintain when entering the table from the storage room in miniature games such as Warhammer 40,000®. This 100% compatible tool is cut from 3mm fluorescent methacrylate and is the perfect thickness to glide between close-spaced décor elements without moving them. Since it's a rigid piece (not a tape measure), it can be laid flat against the base of a figure and rotated to draw a perfect eight-inch circle in any direction.

According to the 11th Edition Rapid Deployment Rule , a unit that starts the reserve game can deploy "anywhere on the battlefield more than 8 inches horizontally from all enemy models" during your reinforcement phase. The distance is measured from pedestal to pedestal (or helmet to pedestal for vehicles) horizontally – height is ignored – so a reliable eight-inch caliber is a must.
