Green Stuff World - Decal Fixer (17ml)
The Decal Fixer is a decal adhesive to facilitate the application of decals, which can be applied directly to the surface of the model where a decal is to be applied. The GSW Decal Fixer prepares the surface with special agents that soften the solvents of modern paints and make the decal adhesive stronger and more resistant. In addition, the decal fixative makes the decal more flexible and adheres better, and prevents the outline of the decal from becoming visible.

INSTRUCTIONS
1.- Before applying a decal to your model, once the decal has soaked long enough, apply a little GSW Fixer decals to the surface of the model on which you plan to place your decal. Fixative decals protect the paint underneath and smooth the surface, helping to prevent silvering. Use a brush to gently push the decal off the sheet and onto the model. If it is difficult to move the decal, adding a little more GSW decal fixer or water will help the decal float on the surface until it is properly positioned.
2.- If the surface on which you want to apply the flat decal is curved, such as a shoulder rest, your decal may wrinkle. To avoid this, once your decal is in place, apply GSW Decal Softener. Let the fabric softener react and it will help remove wrinkles, as it conforms to the curved surface underneath. Repeat this step 2-3 times until the wrinkles are removed.
Remove the excess with a cotton swab to remove the liquid stuck between the decal and the surface. Roll the swab over the sticker so that it doesn't lift off the surface. You can also use a paper towel to press down on the decal in a rolling motion to remove excess liquid. By using GSW Decal Softener, embossed cutouts to remove wrinkles from your decal won't be necessary.
3.- Finally, reapply Fixer decals to the decal and the surface of the model we are working on to unify the surface. Coat it normally with a matte or glossy varnish if you feel it is necessary to remove or add a glossy finish.
