You are Victor Lavel, an ambitious young journalist working for a major newspaper.

It was 1900, in the middle of the Belle Époque, and Paris was booming.

There are so many stories to cover, the World's Fair, the Summer Olympics, the opening of the first metro station, but as Lavel, a family famous for solving crimes since the Middle Ages, you're much more interested in murders, kidnappings and robberies.

Being a journalist allows you to be among the first to know about it, and your intelligence means that you are often the first to find the culprit."
