In the city's largest criminal organizations, men and women compete to grow their influence.
Control of the Black District, a highly contested area, is a major and essential issue to dominate the city.
District Noir is a game in which you will have to use your tactical sense since the players will have to manage their hand as best as possible.
Indeed, the cards you have will be placed in the center of the table and can therefore be recovered by you as well as by the opponent.
You will also have to have a sense of timing:
- Which cards should I put down and in what order?
- When do I pick up cards?
It is these cards, and only these, that will bring points at the end of the four rounds. But that's without counting on the possibility of winning the game at any time by gathering the three City cards of the game.
How to play District Noir?
A game takes place in four rounds. Each turn, players perform one of two possible actions:
Play a card at the end of the row: Choose a card from your hand and place it at the end of the row. Take 5 cards starting with the last card in the current row (only once per turn): Starting with the last card in the current row, take exactly five cards, and place them in front of you, sorting them by type
A round ends when both players have completed six actions. The hands of both players are then empty. At the end of the round, if the deck is empty, the game is over, and each player calculates their score to determine who won. If there are any cards left in the deck, players each draw five cards to form a new hand and a new round begins.
The game ends when players have played four rounds.
