Sherman Solitaire is a single-player wargame (historical strategy game), presented in the form of a book and set during World War II, in which you lead the crew of a Sherman tank through various missions. It also features a cooperative mode (2 American tanks, 1 per player) and a 1v1 Duel mode.
Sherman Solitaire puts you at the controls of your Sherman tank and its crew somewhere in France during World War II. It offers you a 50-page game book with 13 varied missions to meet the challenges that will get in your way. Token board included to get you into battle right away! (standard 6-sided dice not included).
The goal of this book is to offer a simple, accessible and easy-to-use game system so that the player can quickly get into the action. It is not intended to replace more complex story games that require several hours of learning and long playing times. It is also not intended to be totally realistic and many concepts have been simplified to make the games more fluid. But it is a perfect gateway to discover and learn alone the challenges offered by historical strategy games.
In each mission, the player controls a Sherman tank and its crew, and tries to achieve various objectives. Of course, German troops (tanks and infantry) tried to prevent him. Each of the 13 missions is played in less than an hour and offers great replayability, thanks to the randomness of the initial deployment, the dynamic flow of the fights and the events that occur at the end of each turn.
In addition to the full rules and scenarios book, this french edition includes a board of over 40 counters and markers to get you into the action right away, all wrapped up in an exclusive folder.
Each mission allows you to immerse yourself in the game by offering you exciting situations. Some events are randomly generated, but you'll always have some control over the level of risk you want to take and how vulnerable your tank is to the hazards you're going to encounter.
