In Cthulhu: Dark Providence, 1-5 players secretly take on the role of Investigators, Cultists, or Dissenters from one of two sides fighting for the fate of a country on the brink of collapse. Each player will calculate their final score differently based on their character's Allegiance, but there will be only one winner. While trying to keep their allegiance secret and preserve their sanity, players use their influence to acquire valuable resources, take control of cities, make deals with powerful Mythos entities, recruit agents, eliminate rivals, block opponents, and even open or close Portals to other dimensions.
At the end of the game, the player with the lowest HP and all those who share their Allegiance are eliminated, and then, of the remaining players, the player with the most HP wins.
