The promise of a dreamless sleep was only an illusion. The Lords have awakened after a century spent contemplating the abyss of oblivion, every moment tormented by nightmarish dreams. Peace no longer interested them; From then on, only power attracted them. This fatal sleep had revealed to them an ancestral secret: the occult knowledge of necromancy. This knowledge allowed them to raise armies from the remains of their lands. Those who had fallen in the first war would rise to march into a second bloody conflict, a devastating struggle that would determine who, finally, could claim the Crown of Ashes.

Players take on the role of vengeful necromancers, sending their loyal minions to do their bidding. They will have to:

Gather resources to raise powerful armies of the undead
Erect imposing structures that provide better resources and gain influence on the territory
Lead their undead army into battle to take over other players' buildings and defend their own fiercely

Over the course of 4 rounds, players will earn influence points based on the structures they control. Whoever has accumulated the most by the end of the game will take control of the kingdom and rule for eternity.
