The One Ring: The Starter Box, contains everything you need to discover this role-playing game, take your first steps in Middle-earth and participate in the adventures of the Hobbits.

So there's nothing wrong with taking a little walk to help good ol' Bilbo?!

Thanks to this box, players will be introduced to simplified rules and pre-drawn characters that allow them to quickly jump into the adventure.

The setting is set after Bilbo's journey (in the novel The Hobbit) and before the events of The Lord of the Rings.

It's an opportunity to explore the Shire as some of the Hobbits—Drogon Baggins, Rory Brandebouc, and Esmeralda Touque, for example, whose children would later perform extraordinary feats.

This box contains:

a 24-page booklet with condensed rules;

a 52-page compendium detailing the four districts of the Shire, from Verte-Île in the west to the Pays de Bouc and the Old Forest in the east;

a 32-page booklet with five thrilling adventures ready to play;

eight sheets of double-sided pre-printed character;

a large, full-coloured, double-sided map of the Shire and Eriador;

30 War Gear cards, featuring weapons and armor;

six Role/Position cards, double-sided.

This first edition also contains a set of dice: two 12-sided Fate dice and ten 6-sided Mastery dice.
