Two clans, the Han and the Chu, vie to supplant the weak Qin ruler and forge China's first true dynasty. Historically, the Chu started out in a position of strength, but the Han managed to defeat them.

Chu Han is a game of trickery, climbing, and elimination that consists of multiple hands. Players start each hand with a mix of Chu and Han cards, representing clan tensions, hostage-taking, and changes in allegiance.

Optional events and two historical campaigns bring additional variety.
